Gutierrez’s research examines how high-temperature events affect trophic interactions among collards, diamondback moths, and their parasitoid, Diadegma insulare. Her work investigates how plant defenses and natural predation influence diamondback moth immunity and survival to inform the use of D. insulare as a biological control agent under future climate conditions.
